Trendy Trenderson #1: Green With Envy

I've decided to do a new series of posts to kick off 2013. (I know it's not actually 2013, cut me some slack OK?) I'm going to take some of my favorite fashion trends, and feature some of my favorite pieces from different retailers. I'll also include jewelry, and DIY items if there are some available.

Now on with the show! The first feature is Pantone's 2013 Colour of the Year (yes there is such a thing). The color is one of my favorites too; Emerald Green. It's one of those colors that is really seasonless, and looks great on everyone.

Here is one of my favs from Asos Curve.
The Midi length, scoop neck, body con.
Perfect is it not? I love the length of this, it's nice to have
something a little longer, especially for us tall girls. This would look
so nice with a sweater or a blazer too. Maybe a black leather moto? Can you really
ever go wrong with a black leather moto?

This dress from Ruche is AMAZING. I bought it when it
was first featured on their website. The color is perfection
itself, and is going to be a wardrobe staple for the rest of winter
and into spring. It's currently listed as out of stock, but add yourself to
the notifications as it will tell you when it comes back. I'll feature it in an OOTD
next week.
Pretty button up top from Style&Co. via The Bay. This would be great
with a pair of black skinnies, or tucked into a high waisted skirt. Um yah it's half off too.

Add some Emerald into your life via a print. This is a dandy
of a dress from Modcloth. How cute would this be for a spring/summer wedding?
Or dressed down with a denim jacket and flat sandals?

Of course when we talk about Emerald as a colour we can't forget it as a jewel! :)
Hope about a little green for your ears. I love this little pair of studs via Etsy.
Last but not least are these beautiful pumps from Sofft.
Get them here, or here

This is just a small taste of the lovely Emerald green items that are available right now. I hope we get to see even more of it in the coming year. Next up....Emerald Green OOTD. Coming soon.

...and the winner is...

Good Evening everyone! Hope you all had a lovely Holiday. I had a very nice time, things started out a little dicey when it decided to snow heavily again and the temperature dropped, but we braved the roads down to southern Alberta. In the end it was well worth it to see my family. The roads were really only bad around the Edmonton area anyways since it seems the rest of Alberta knows how take care of their roads. :) I could go off on that but that's not good art/fashion blog material.

As you have been waiting for the winner for the $50 Penningtons Gift Card is Sonya B., from Ontario. Congratulations Sonya. I sent that off this afternoon, so you should have it next week.

Thank you to all the ladies that entered. Your comments are always great appreciated on any post. I hope you'll keep visiting the blog and I hope to have more giveaways in 2013. It just too much fun! Next time though I will just use Rafflecopter or something since some people had troubles leaving comments.

Just a side note, if you're on instagram, let's follow eachother. I'm at @glasscandydesigns

Also be sure and check out a lovely woman from Calgary, she goes by @honorcurves. You'll be glad you did.

Happy Holidays Contest with Penningtons!

Hey everyone!

I was super stoked (yah that's right stoked!) when I came home to find a sweet little package from Penningtons at my door! They sent me a gift, AND along with it a gift to give away to one of you! I may have actually done a little dance when I saw the note about that! You have a chance to win a $50 gift card to use at any Penningtons in Canada!  Details below.
How pretty is that package!
Penningtons has been a store I will admit, (and I think I have mentioned it before) I have looked over in the past. I remember going there in my younger years, and founding it a little dull.

Well kids, that was the PAST! In the last few years, they have done a great job updating their look, but still keeping a selection of basics for the more conservative customer. They seems to have a little something for everyone. Not to mention the BEST seamless thong panty - just had to put that out there. <3

Right now they have some really great styles available for the holidays. I have picked a few of my favs.

Velvet Dress - Do I even need to say why this is awesome?
LOOK AT IT. :) Team it just with some sexy heals, stack some
arm candy, and you're good to go. Only caution is that
everyone is going to want to touch you. Guess that could be a good thing too. :)

Flocked Chiffon Blouse - 2 words... Polka Dots. That's all. :)

Leopard Print Savvy Skirt - I'm a little in love with this skirt. Love the
side slit. I hope they have it in a size 14 when I go on Friday!

Rhinestone Buckle Belt - Pennington has great belts, and this beauty
also comes in gold. I'll be on the hunt for both.

So now the contest details. I'm going to make it SUPER easy. (No skill testing math question involved.)

Here's what you do to be entered to with the $50 gift card:
- Comment below, including a link to your favorite item on the Penningtons site (just copy and paste the link), and tell me why you like it. You will also need to include your email address. One entry per person.

Pretty easy right???  I'm going to draw the name on December 26th. I will announce the winner here, and I will email the winner via email.

Just a side note, if the winner does not respond by Jan 1st, I will draw a new name. So when you get home for boxing day shopping check back! :)

** If you find you can't add a comment below (it's a glitch with Blogger) please feel free to email me at sartorialtherapy@gmail.com, send me your name, email, and item you like and I will post it below. You will be entered**

Hope everyone is having a fab December! xoxo.

Time Flies When Your Having Fun!

I can't believe it has been soooo long since I posted! Life has been a tad busy lately, fun but busy. I have a bunch of ideas for posts, and a whole schwak of new clothes and jewelry that just need to be photographed.

Until then here is the last 3 weeks of my life summed up...photo style...

Handmade glass beads, Swarovski and copper accents. Super happy
with the way this one turned out. More to come.

Winston playing with a fake bird we got him at Michael's.
Best $3 ever spent

Fall is officially here. Not a fan of the winter that follows,
but the trees sure do look pretty. This is taken in
downtown St. Albert, on my walk to the last Farmer's
Market of the season.

Insalata Caprese! My favorite! Fresh tomatoes and basil from the Farmer's Market,
fresh Mozzarella from the Italian Centre Shop (it's the best), good quality EVOO,
salt and pepper to taste.
Random OOTD:
T-Shirt - Asos (18UK)
Cami - City Chic (S)
Jeggings - Dorothy Perkins (16UK Tall) They are amazing.
Boots - Forver21 (10US)
Purse - Aldo
Necklace - Addition Elle
Bracelet - Stella and Dot

This game stole my money! :) I'm not a big gambler, but I couldn't
resist putting in $20...I was up to about $65...then down...left with $.35
